By Rob Morris on March 7, 2010 – 12:57 pm

Former Shadbolt lawyer takes up new role with Middle Eastern law firm.

Amereller has strengthened its Middle Eastern team after bringing in Roger Button as head of regional construction.

The seasoned lawyer, who was previously a partner in Shadbolt LLP, has more than 30 years experience providing legal support for construction and engineering projects in the UK and internationally.

His work has involved construction, infrastructure and energy-related projects across several areas, including power generation, railways, airports, roads and process plant and commercial development. Typical duties have included drafting and negotiating contract documents and claims and disputes resolutions.

Button’s work also extends to projects in the Middle East where he has advised governments, contractors and clients on various projects.

“Roger has immense experience in the field of construction and energy law. He will provide both the leadership and new approaches to our construction team,” said senior partner Dr. Florian Amereller of Button’s appointment.

Amereller is advising on $10bn worth of projects in several Middle Eastern countries, including  Iraq, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Syria.
