Fraser To Join Taylor Wessing In May

By Rob Morris on March 11, 2010 – 3:45 pm

Construction law expert leaving Hammonds to make Middle East move.

Hammonds partner Mark Fraser is leaving the firm to join Taylor Wessing’s Dubai construction team.

Fraser, who is set to link up with the firm as lead partner in May, is a construction law, insurance and arbitration expert. He will work alongside four equity partners already based at the firm’s Dubai office.

“My move to Dubai affords an opportunity to build on my current work and contacts in the Middle East and I am confident that Taylor Wessing’s footprint in the region will be of great assistance in this regard,” Fraser said of his impending move to Dubai.

Christopher Dixon, managing partner for Taylor Wessing Middle East, said the appointment would bolster the firm’s team in Dubai.

“Mark is a recognised authority in international construction law. His recruitment is the latest development in the long term strategy for our Dubai office, and we are excited to welcome him and reinforce our position as a top adviser to the construction industry across the region.”

Taylor Wessing has been in the Middle East since 2008 when it merged with its Dubai alliance law firm partner Key & Dixon.
